5.  Add a new texture channel to the material  

Buttons Window menu >> Shading (F5) >> Texture buttons (F6)
Texture tab
Select empty texture channel
Add New
Name:  ColorMap
Texture Type:  Image
 


6.  Load/select the Color Map

Image tab
Load
or
Select (if you downloaded the starting blend)





7.  Normal Map settings

Texture Tab:
Normal Map selected

Map Input tab:  UV button
Buttons Window menu >> Shading (F5) >> Material buttons
Map Input tab
UV button
UV texture map name

Map To tab:  Nor button
Buttons Window menu >> Shading (F5) >> Material buttons
Map To tab
Nor button
Nor Slider to 1.0
 

8.  Color Map settings
