Note:
  • To bake textures, you have to use the Blender Render engine.
  • Engine: Blender Render and Engine: Blender Game have different menus.

Instructions:
  • Info menu >> Engine box >> Blender Render

Texture your model
Note:
  • This tutorial assumes that you know how to texture your model.

Create a new blank image

Note:
  • The texture will be baked to the new image.

Instructions:
  • UV/Image Editor menu >> Image >> New
  • Give it a unique name.
