Add a Plane.

Note:
  •  For this tutorial, I'm using a Plane.

Instructions:
  • Info menu >> Add >> Mesh >> Plane

Add a UV Texture layer

Note:
  • Alpha with Multitexture and Singletexture have to be UV Mapped to the texture.
  • The UV Texture layer holds the position of the texture and normal map on the game object.
  • After we add the image, we will UV map it to the game object using this UV Texture layer.  

Instructions:
  • Properties menu >> Object Data button
  • UV Texture tab >> + button

Give it a unique name

Note:
  • I am naming my UV Texture layer Leaf_UV

Instructions:
  • Properties menu >> Object Data button
  • UV Texture tab >> Name: Leaf_UV
