Remove doubles
   
Select joined duplicates  Edit mode
  • Tab key
or
  • 3D View menu >> Mode box >> Edit Mode
Select all vertices
  • A key
or
  • 3D View menu >> Select >> Select/Deselect All
Remove doubles
  • W key >> Specials >> Remove Doubles
or
  • 3D View menu >> Mesh >> Vertices >> Remove Doubles

Clear Parent from track.  Keep Transformation.
 
Note:
  • The track is still parented to the track path (the Bezier Circle).

Select joined duplicates  Object mode.
  • Tab key

  • 3D View menu >> Mode box >> Object Mode
Clear Parent
  • Alt + P key >> Clear Parent >> Clear and Keep Transformation
or
  • 3D View menu >> Object >> Parent >> Clear >> Clear and Keep Transformation

Move or delete track path.

Note:
  • Don't delete the track path if you plan on adding guard rails, light poles, etc. to your track.
