Don't care how
the vehicle wrapper works? Just want it to work? This vehicle setup is my attempt to create a 'fill in the blanks' type approach. At this point in time, there are 8 manuals. Car Setup. Collision Box. Tires. Suspension. Powertrain. Steering. Keyboard. Joystick. All you have to
do is select a manual and fill in the blanks. The python code has
been written for you.
Car Setup Manual: This is where
you enter the object names of your car and tires. The logic tic
rate.
Collision Box Manual: Do you want to
use the shape of a collision box or the shape of your car for
collisions?
Tires Manual: Tire
Position. Tire radius. Tire
friction. Tire drag.
Suspension Manual:Suspension
height. Shock compression. Shock damping. Shock
stiffness. Car roll.
Powertrain Manual:Choose 4 wheel
drive, front wheel drive or rear wheel drive. Choose MPH or KPH
for your speedometer/odmeter. Engine forward power. Engine
reverse power. Brake force. Emergency brake force.
Set a max speed for your car.
Steering Manual:Choose which
tires have steering. Maximum turn.
Speed adjust. Gradual turn. Invert steering.
Use
keyboard.
Joystick Manual:Use digital
joystick. Dead zone.
You can use this setup for both personal and commercial projects. All that I ask is that you give me credit and don't claim it as your own. |

3D Game Engine |
Rapid prototyping for 3D games. Test realtime 3D gameplay without having to compile the game code. 3D game models automatically added. GLSL shaders. Normal Mapping and Parallax Mapping. All OpenGL Lighting modes. This includes transparencies, animated and reflection mapped textures. Multiple textures and materials. UV mapping. Per-pixel lighting and dynamic lighting. Uses Bullet Physics. Soft body dynamics. Rigid body dynamics. Collision detection and dynamics simulation. Collision bounds of all types. Car physics engine with full support for vehicle dynamics. (Spring reactions, stiffness, damping, tire friction etc.). |
