5.  UV Unwrap the UV texture

Note:
For this example, I am using 'Project From View' for the UV Calculation

Mirror selected:  Edit Mode

UV Unwrap
U key
or
3D View menu >> Mesh >> UV Unwrap
Select UV Calculation method


 

  
6.  UV map UV Texture to image

UV/Image editor >> Image box
Select  image
Map to image
